Enjoy our authentic Traditional English tea served in either the opulent Sitting Room, Parlor or formal Dining Room with period-correct china, linens and silverware. Have you always wanted to learn how to make the perfect pie for Fall? Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at the Ackerman Heritage House learning how to make a traditional buttery pie crust with seasonal fillings. Join Chef Jennifer Smith, a classically trained pastry chef and formally with the French Laundry, in our state-of-the-art kitchen to discover the art of pie making. This class will demonstrate which are the best ingredients used to make that perfect seasonal fruit or custard pie. You will also discover how to professionally roll out a pie crust and create those unique decorative borders that makes each pie so personal. Guests will take home their two pies with recipe cards signed by Chef Jennifer. Let’s celebrate the fall season’s bounty at the Ackerman Heritage House!

Join us for a delightful afternoon baking decorative holiday cookies in the state-of-the-art kitchen of the Ackerman Heritage House. Learn new techniques and discover unique ingredients that classically trained pastry chef, Jennifer Smith, uses to make her highly sought-after bake goods. This class will create an array of traditional holiday cookies including a few recipes from the Victorian era. Guests will each take home their own cookie tin filled with delicious bake goods and recipe cards signed by Chef Jennifer. Chef Jennifer Bio
Chef Jennifer Smith, a California girl at heart, made her way to the beautiful Napa Valley where she worked for several years at Bouchon Bakery, and later, the French Laundry for Thomas Keller. After traveling the country, she made her way back to the Napa Valley and started her own business specializing in dessert tables, tea parties, wedding cakes, and French macarons, to name a few. Her ability to create one-of-a-kind, handmade sweet and savory confections and pastries impresses everyone that has experienced her work. Ackerman Heritage House is thrilled to partner with Chef Jennifer for our English Afternoon Teas, Brunch, Baking Classes and Cocktail Parties.
